I am so tired of the negative comments on my Facebook feed. These are comments and thoughts from so many people I love and consider great friends and coworkers but to see everyone argue about what is best for families and/or students, is really mind blowing. No matter what anyone picks they are picking it because that is what they think is best for their family. I am sure they have weighed all their options and have come to the best decision for them. During a pandemic all parenting and family questions and decisions are just so hard!

I'm tired of seeing people post numbers and say that not enough people are dying to make a difference. That it is only affecting a small percentage. What kind of a person are you to not take these lives that have been lost into consideration. People are dying period! What number do you need to see to understand that people are dying! People old and young are getting sick. Which statistic will you land on when you get Covid? Will you be asymptomatic, feels a little under the weather or be in the severe symptoms category? You just don't know so why not just be cautious and careful? What about your loved ones? Where will they fit when you share Covid?

I keep hearing that kids need to go back to the classroom because they need to socialize and get some normal. Well I am so sorry to break the news to you but there will be NO normal. The desks will be separated from each other. Teachers and students will be wearing masks. Students will not be encouraged to be close to each other. Some cafeterias will be closed and students will eat their lunch in the classroom and the list goes on. How will this be normal?!

Some teachers are ready to get back into the classroom but there are so many that are terrified. Being terrified does not make you a bad teacher. They love their students they are just having to weigh the risk of going back. The risk of catching Covid and/or bringing it home to their loved ones.

I'm frustrated with the one way opinions and the pressure these people are putting on their friends. These so called Christians that are putting others down. I'm sure that if Jesus were here today he wouldn't be calling people sheep and complaining about wearing a mask because it might help his neighbors, friends and family. He would be an ear to hear your concerns, a voice to tell you it would be okay. We can disagree on how we feel but please lets be a little civilized about it. Lets be kind and have grace towards one another.
